The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Edit
The Elder Scrolls: Skyrim is the fifth installment in The Elder Scrolls series and the sequel to The Elder Scrolls: Oblivion. It was released in 2011 by Bethesda Softworks.
The player awakens as a prisoner to Imperial forces near Helgen. The player is soon to be executed, but becomes saved by a mysterious creature soon to be identified as a dragon. The player travels to Whiterun, a major city in Skyrim, where the Jarl requires his/her assistance. The Jarl asks that the player kills a dragon for him, and after the deed is done the player discovers he/she is the Last Dragonborn. The Dragonborn is then summoned by the Greybeards, where he/she recieves extensive training in the art of dragon shouts. The Dragonborn then goes on a series of quests to find the Elder Scroll and see what is prophesied of him/her. He/she soon discovers it is their destiny to slay the evil dragon Alduin. The Dragonborn goes on a last quest to hunt down Alduin, and when they find him, and the Dragonborn must travel to Sovngarde. There is a huge battle that follows. Violence ensues, and ultimately the Dragonborn prevails, sending Alduin off onto the currents of time.
